Dr. Kurt Wegner Polio Immunization Photographs

This collection of 12 photographs documents the activities during the mass polio immunization program using the Type II Sabin oral vaccine, which took place in the Youngstown/Mahoning County area in early 1962. The photographs were taken by New York photographer W. Forres Stewart and were donated by Dr. Kurt Wegner, who led the project.
