Each series is organized chronologically within each folder. The bulk of the collection is from 1954 and 1960-1962. The collection deals with the interests of E.L. O'Connor. A majority of the printed works in series I involves the Bulletin Youngstown Edition, a monthly magazine from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company that deals with steel industry articles, happenings around the company (such as retirements and promotions) as well as the families of the workers (marriages, births, birthdays, obituaries, graduations, enlistments in the service, seasonal recipes, etc...) Other printed works are miscellaneous steel magazines that focus on research, economic trends, production, and industrial relations and operations management. The annual reports series II contains two financial reports of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company during the years 1953 and 1957. The union papers series III involves a settlement proposal addressed to David J. McDonald, president of the United Steelworkers of America, a booklet of the agreement between The Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company, Youngstown Metal Products Company and the United Steelworkers of America Production and Maintenance Employees. The last part of series III involves papers belonging to E.L. O'Connor which describe union procedures (i.e. vacation days, grievances, and incentives). The collection is not complete and has gaps within the dates but it may give the researcher insight to Youngstown Sheet and Tube when it was locally owned and operated, and the steel industry of the late 1950's and early 1960's.</p></scopecontent></scopecontent><arrangement encodinganalog="351$b"><head>Statement of Arrangement</head><p>Series Description Series I: Printed Works Series II: Annual Reports Series III: Union Papers</p></arrangement><prefercite encodinganalog="510"><head>Preferred Citation</head><p>E.L.
