The chief fiscal officer for the University is the Vice President of Financial Affairs who recommends fiscal policy to the President for consideration by the Board of Trustees and is responsible for implementation of these policies. Major roles of the Vice President for Financial Affairs include overseeing funds from state appropriations; developing and monitoring the financial transactions of the University; maintaining University payroll, and providing public accountability for University resources .

Scope and Content

The materials in the record group were created by the Office of Financial Affairs. Portions of the materials were maintained over the years at the Circulation Desk (in a modified archival setting before being transferred to the Archives and Special Collections) in Maag Library, placed in reserve for interested parties to review. The record group is arranged by series and only contains one type of material, the annual financial reports and the supplements corresponding to the reports. The dates in the collection are continuous from 1979-2000.
