Continuing Education offers enrichment program for children; and the 11th annual District Directors Institute on Federal Taxation will be held at YSU
YSU's Office of Continuing Education is offering a pilot enrichment program for children entering the second and third grades next fall.Composed of ten different sessions, the"Adventures in Summer" program will be held June 16-27 at Hilltop Elementary School in Canfield. The 11th annual District Directors Institute on Federal Taxation will be held at YSU June 13. Specific topics of this year's institute will include: current developments, estate and gifts taxes, shelters, tax practices and management, fringe benefits, and new and proposed legislation.

A slender, six-foot "Peace Pole" with a message written in a different language on each of its four sides will be dedicated in a brief ceremony June 2 on the YSU campus. The 12th annual District Directors Institute on Federal Taxation will be held at YSU June 12. Specific topics will include current developments, investment income and passive activities, fringe benefits, tax practice management, estates and gifts and corporations and small business.

Third annual Awards Night held
The third annual Awards Night was held at YSU May 28 in Kilcawley Center's Chestnut Room. Philip Hirsch of Youngstown, director of Student Activities/Auxiliary Services, addressed the group which had gathered to honor students, student organizations and advisors.
