February 11, 1978: Board of Trustees Regular Meeting Minutes

Abstract

Presented are the minutes of the 59th meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. This was a regular meeting. Included are supporting exhibits. Highlights include: resolutions to ratify faculty/staff appointments, to establish a policy on leave without pay, to place copies of Board minutes in the YSU Library, and to authorize payment of salaries for employees on days the University was closed due to inclement weather. President Coffelt reported on the expansion of class sizes at the College of Medicine, the closing of the University due to severe winter weather, the establishment of an alumni association, legislation involving pay increases for classified civil service employees; and pending litigation involving water damage caused by a contractor and alleged rights involving the collection of unpaid sick leave.
