Academic Senate Minutes Meeting of September 09, 2009

Abstract

Senate Chairperson, Chet Cooper, presided. Nomination for Chair of the Academic Senate and members for the Charter and Bylaws Committee were held. Bob Hogue was confirmed as Secretary and Kathylynn Feld as Parliamentarian. President David Sweet gave a brief report on enrollment, the state budget, and the new Eastern Gateway Community College. The Executive Senate Committee reported on filling vacancies, the formation of an ad hoc committee on Teaching and Learning to be incorporated into the Senate Committee structure and a brief update is given on the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and the Director of Human Resources Search Committee. Academic Programs Committee reported on a list of approved program changes. Undergraduate Curriculum Committee gave an informational report on approved courses. The General Education Committee reported on a list of approved General Education courses.
