YSU Alert Notification Systems fails to send out alerts to some students in a timely manner. Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity helps promote the New Lease on Life Rescue animal shelter in Struthers. YSU Board of Trustees approves the hiring of Gary Swegan for the position of associative vice president for enrollment planning and management. Linda Frank, an administrative assistant at the Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center, tells her story of surviving breast cancer. Carmstrong Bocce for Hope, a bocce event to raise funds for the Carmstrong scholarship at YSU and for the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning County, takes place at the MVR Italian restaurant.
