Presented are the minutes of the 320th meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. This was a regular meeting. Supporting exhibits are found in a separate file. During the meeting, James B. Green was sworn in as a new trustee, and Eric A. Shehadi took the oath as a new student trustee. Highlights of the meeting included resolutions: to modify the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities and Conduct; to identify the previously-styled College of Fine & Performing Arts as the College of Creative Arts and Communication; to pursue an Economic Development Administration Grant; to add Simeon Booker to the list of those in line to receive an honorary degre; to accept development gifts; to name the Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series in the College of Creative Arts and Communication; to name the Dr. Jack Bakos, Jr. Collaborative Lounge “The Fishbowl”; to approve a policy on the use of University vehicles; to approve a policy on the use of University equipment; to modify the policy on University websites; to authorize the sale of University land to Fireline, Inc.; to approve interfund transfers; to transfer prior year ending fund balances; to amend the internal audit charter; to approve the implementation of cost-saving measures (e.g., voluntary furloughs, layoffs, etc.); to approve a new emergency response policy; to identify the new Office of Equal Opportunity and Policy Compliance; to create the office of Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies; and to ratify faculty/staff appointments. |
