dc.description.abstract	Tera Winebold, an eighth-grade student at Struthers Middle School was named the 100,000th student to participate in the YSU English Festival. YSU students form a shale organization, The Youngstown Shale Energy Organization at YSU. The American Medical Student Association at YSU hosted its first 5k for Kids run. YSU's student chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association is planning to compete in the 2013 Green Energy Challenge. A pizza benefit is held for professor Michael Theall. Sports features articles on Nick DeKraker, former Penguin defensive tackle, and the YSU women's golf team competing in the Horizon League Championship. Penguin Spotlight features Samantha Snodgrass.	en_US
