dc.description.abstract Presented are the minutes of the 272nd meeting of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees on September 28, 2007. This was a regular meeting. President Sweet reported on an increased enrollment of 15 percent since 2000, with minority student enrollment standing at 17 percent of the student body. He also stated that the Northeast Ohio Study Commission was continuing its work and commended student volunteers for restoring the Wick-Pollock gardens. Committee reports followed. The Board resolved: to approve a master of arts in art education program; to extend tenure and associate professorial rank on the Associate Dean in the Beeghly College of Education; to express appreciation for the staff of the YSU Center for Student Progress; to modify University Guidebook policies; to accept development gifts; to name the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS); to approve interfund transfers; to approve changes to tuition for the master of fine arts program; to approve the allocation of year-end excess funds; to purchase property for campus improvement; to trade land for campus improvement; to ratify faculty/staff appointments; and to authorize Human Resources to review and recommend changes to policies governing civil service employees. en_US
