dc.description.abstract Eastern Gateway Community College's new president, Jimmie Bruce, plans to forge a strong relationship between Easter Gateway and Youngstown State. A national magazine has recognized Youngstown State University's Division of Student Affairs as one of its "15+ Most Promising Place to Work in Student Affairs" for the second year in a row. Three finalists are named to be the Honors College's first dean, they are: Dr. Stephen Gage, director of bands for YSU's Dana School of Music; Adam Earnheardt, chair of the department of communications; and Tom Wakefield, assistant professor in the department of mathematics and statistics. The fourth annual Endure for the Cure, an event featuring a two-mile obstacle course that raises money for charitable organizations, kicks off on April 25.Members of the American Society of Civil Engineers organization at YSU win second place in the concrete canoe competition. Andy Och, documentarian and expert on the past and present first ladies, spoke to YSU students. Sports feature recent games of the YSU softball and baseball teams. en_US
