dc.description.abstract YSU President Jim Tressel shares his vision for the campus. PAYO, a service project started last year to raise poverty awareness and help children who live in property, held a carnival for children at Harding Elementary School last week to deliver donated clothing food and other resources. Youngstown State University was awarded a 2016 Jefferson Muzzel for directing the removal of "Straight Pride Week" posters from campus last year. Bart Ehrman, professor at the University of Norther California, delivered a lecture entitled "Misquoting Jesus: Scribes Who Changed the Scriptures and Reader Who May Never Know" at YSU as part of the Shipka Speaker series. The Bees Trees, a rock and soul band from Youngstown, will be going on tour in support of their new EP "Roots." Louis Zona, the director of the Butler Art Institute of American Art, received the Youngstown State University Heritage Award. Sports features the YSU baseball team against the University of Pittsburgh. Pressbox Perspective features postseason action aplenty. en_US
