dc.description.abstract The previously University-operated bookstore in Kilcawley Center is now managed by Barnes and Nobles. YSU's Regional Economic Development Initiative signed a two-year contract to assist the City of Youngstown in obtaining grants to fund improvement projects. YSU has increased student enrollment for the fall semester. Next year freshmen will be required to take a First Year Experience course to help them acclimate to the university environment. The Downtown Youngstown Partnership meetings help businesses of Youngstown collaborate to make a difference. YSU honor students volunteered during the Global Day of Service where 22 organizations held volunteering projects. The Sweater Vest Shuffle helps raise money for YSUscape's revitalization efforts. YSU student David Tamulonis teamed up with YSUscape to create a mural titled, "We Are Youngstown," which is displayed on the side of the Harshman Building in downtown Youngstown. An upper division course in Ludomusicology is being offered in the Dana School of Music. A Q&A with Mary Lou Weingart, senior academic adviser in the College of Creative Arts and Communication's art department, is given. The Jambar Top 10 is What to Watch for in YSU's Season Opener.
