dc.description.abstract Hispanic Heritage Month kicked of with its opening ceremonies in the Mahoning County Courthouse September 14. DNA studios, a new tattoo shop, opened on Lincoln Avenue. Campus Rec keeps students busy. YSU revisits the idea of opening a women's center. A discussion about race, privilege and unity took place at Suzie's Dogs & Drafts on Monday. The construction of the outdoor amphitheater downtown is making progress. The cost of academic dishonesty is given. YSU ranks 3 out of 5 stars on LGBTQ+ friendliness on the Campus Pride Index. A one on one with artist Eunsu Kang is given. YSU's piano quartet is introduced. Operation Keepsake Inc. hosted its Fifth Annual Friends4Friends Film Festival Campaign. The Steps Against Stigma Walk at Wick Park brought the community together and promoted awareness of mental illness. Students with family in Florida discuss Hurricane Irma.
