dc.description.abstract The Jambar looks at how YSU would respond to an active shooter event. A funeral was held at Beeghly Center to remember fallen Girard police officer Justin Leo. Emily Henline is a student studying abroad in South Korea. Highlights of Homecoming are given. Students question the convenience of feminine hygiene products in campus vending machines. Food options around campus are increasing. YSUscape teamed up with the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation for their fourth annual Make a Difference Workday. A Q and A is given with YSU hockey player and stand-up comedian Joe Anastasia. The changes in technology and teaching are looked at with interviews with faculty members. YSU students embrace video streaming. The YSU football teams hopes for a strong finish to end the season after a dismal defeat. The YSU women's basketball team is ready to go this season after last seasons' injuries and strange happenings. The YSU men's basketball team looks to strong season with a new coaching staff and Jerrod Calhoun at the helm. en_US
