dc.description.abstract The utilization of space in Meshel Hall between the Communications departments and Computer Sciences departments is looked at. YSUscape installs crosswalk buckets and flags for pedestrian safety. Carla Baldwin, a part-time instructor for the Criminal Justice & Forensic Sciences Department at YSU, was sworn in as the first African-American female Youngstown Municipal Court Judge. An article is featured of the Penguin Tuition Promise. United Penguins is a group dedicated to helping international students transition into life in the United States. YSU campus rec encourages student to be healthy for the new year. YSU President Jim Tressel's contract is extended through June 2019. The YSU Honors College Honors Pen Pals program involves students in the Honors College writing to a specific elementary student. The story and the significance of the penguin statues are given. Third Class, a local band, is featured. The YSU women's basketball team prepares for a long four game stretch on the road. Bill Buckner and YSU Alumnus Steve Bartolin will speak at the 2018 First Pitch Breakfast. The YSU men's basketball team beings the year on a three game winning streak. en_US
