dc.description.abstract Tarana Burke, civil rights activist associated with creating the #MeToo movement, and Ronan Farrow, journalist for The New Yorker and who initiated the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandel, visited Stambaugh Auditorium as part of the YSU Centofanti Symposium. Keith Lepak,associate professor in the department of political science and international relations at YSU, was nominated to give his hypothetical last lecture at the Student Government Association's Last Lecture Series. YSU held a panel of women in male-dominated fields who answered questions, gave advice on how to succeed in similar work environments and shared stories on their professional experiences. Nicole Zayas was recognized as Student of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers - Ohio Chapter. Guy Harrison and Jim Benedict received excellent return rates for student evaluations. The YSU Chem-E-Car team will continue its final preparations for the upcoming regional event at Purdue University this weekend. Full Specturm Community Outreach Center celebrates the transgender community. "The Worst Christmas Ever" is a film produced by the Mahoning Valley Film Initiative. YSU Track and Field sweep weekly awards and perform well in Florida. YSU softball team dropped a Horizon League doubleheader to the University of Detroit Mercy. YSU baseball is finding a better rhythm this season. en_US
