dc.description.abstract	Howard W. Jones (center), president emeritus of Youngstown University, receives a citation from Major General Frank H. Britton, deputy commander of the First United States Army, for patriotic civilian service in a ceremony held on campus. While serving as president of the University, Dr. Jones performed invaluable service in support of the United States Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps from January 1950 September 1966. Dr. Jones retired Sept. 1 after more than 35 years as Youngstown University's chief executive officer. On the right is Colonel John E. Wales III, chairman of military sciences at YU.
