dc.description.abstract A tentative calendar for the next two quarters was reviewed. Dates for registration were given. It was suggested that students be coded to help improve registration procedures. Dean Swartz proposed a change in the system of enrollment for the School of Education where students would go to Dean Swartz for suspension and reinstatement and relieve the Arts and Science dean from those problems. Dean Coffield asked for opinions and suggestions relating to a general college course for all freshman. It was pointed out that the Technical and Community College would follow the same pattern that others across the country follow, offering two-years courses but making it possible to transfer into a four-year program. Dean Dykema asked the deans to consider the possibility of offering Communications 508 only as an 11 week course during the summer. After a year's suspension, a suspended student may be reinstated either by the dean of the school from which he was suspended or by the dean of the school in which he wishes to enroll. It is up to the department heads to reschedule the students who were enrolled in cancelled classes. Dean Edgar requested an additional report to be included in the North Central Report, an institutional profile. en_US
