Brought up for discussion was the proposal presented to the University Senate pertaining to the use and meaning of WP-WF, E and I grades, warnings, probations, and suspensions. It was suggested that a limitation be placed on the number of suspensions any one student can have on his record. The transfer students are treated equal to our students in that they must have at least a 2.0 to enter in good standing. It is reminded that if a student enters class and show their receipt of payment for the class it does not entitle them to enter the class. A schedule of dates of deadlines for next year was distributed. Letters will be sent to students that deferred payments will be discontinued in the fall. A problem has come up as to whether or not all new courses be brought into the curriculum at the 4-5 hour level. Dean Coffield will conduct a university-wide review of this problem next year. |
