dc.description.abstract The meeting focused on the North Central team report. Dean Edgar commented that the report was very fair and generous. The problems stated in the report are problems which the group is aware of at this time. The group generally agreed that the objectives as a state university be looked at. President Pugsley stated that we must be aware of what our purpose is; who we expect to serve and in what way. Teaching loads were discussed. Issues with the school of music and accreditation between North Central and the National Association of Schools of Music was brought up. President Puglsey stated that the enrollment projects and applications have dropped about 20 percent. Dr. Coffield asked the group to give serious thought to the University-wide self-study which will begin in the fall and to think of long-range planning for the campus in terms of space. en_US
