dc.description.abstract Dr. Jonas took the first few minutes of the meeting to distribute the new inventory or catalog of courses along with the old copies which could be used to proof new sheets. Dr. Foster, Director of Institutional Research and Acting Dean of Admissions, was asked to speak to the group on several pertinent problems concerning the cancellation of classes, add-drop procedure, and communication. Any student wishing to add a class after Thursday, January 9th, was required to have Dr. Foster's signature. Reports of classes with 15 or fewer students were to be reported to Dr. Coffield on Monday January 13. A tentative travel policy was distributed to the group for study and discussion. New funds from the state were made available for laboratory and other special equipment and/or for a closed circuit television and equipment. Dr. Coffelt said he would call a meeting with Dean Swartz, Mr. Ellis, Mr.Grcevich and other members of the Biology department concerning those available funds. It was hoped that allocations for new positions in the budget would be out during the week. Dean Byo distributed copies of statements regarding periodical purchases within the departments. Announcements were made, then the meeting was adjourned. en_US
