dc.description.abstract Vice President Edgar presented for discussion the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Student Academic Guidance and Registration that were approved for administration consideration. The committee proposed the separation of University orientation from the individual School orientation and advisement; having the latter first, to be followed by registration; and later a single University orientation or "Freshman Day." The winter schedule of 1972-1973 was distributed. Vice President Edgar presented the concerning retention of faculty. Dean Aurand circulated a draft of a proposed university proficiency examination policy. en_US
