Abstract

Dr. Edgar inquired about the status of the paper on "Summer Increment for Chairmen." Dean Yozwiak mentioned that he had prepared a revised copy and had distributed to the Deans, but had not distributed to the Chairmen. President Coffelt attended the meeting and discussed several topics to the Deans including: state subsidies, evaluation of administrative personnel, publicity campaigns, enrichment programs, and rank of administrative personnel. There was a brief discussion about the reactions from some Chairman concerning the summer administrative increment. The University has received a letter from Dr. Thrash, the contact person for the North Central evaluation that was forthcoming. Dr. Alderman asked the Deans to give him a note on when the outstanding evaluation will be submitted to him. Dean Miller distributed a paper concerning repetition of courses and the award of a degree at YSU with the same degree at YSU as at some other school, but in a different major.
