The Supplemental Budget was to be presented to the Trustees on February 5th. The winter 1984 calendar was discussed. Dr. Gillis was to report on the status of the Deans searches, calendar, commencement speaker, academic master plan, academic affairs goals and the assorted accreditation to the Board of Trustees. Gillis needs dates for the Diamond Jubilee as soon as was possible for inclusion in the official calendar. Dr. Gillis reported on a video course being offered by Kent State University. Dr. Gillis wanted all classes less than 15 students reported. Dr. Loch distributed a study to determine whether or not off-campus courses had an effect on on-campus enrollment. A standard form for the Deans lists was discussed. There was concern for telecommunication controversy in the Vindicator. The Testing Center would no longer give make-up tests for faculty members but to focus on handicapped students. Program Evaluation was discussed. The Incomplete Grade Policy was referred to a new committee composed of Scriven, Yozwiak and Dodge. Gillis was working on computerizing the material for the Catalog. A projection for this year's overload was needed. The OEA Agreement on clinical courses was discussed. A memo was read complaining about the late cancellation of registration for suspended students. Dean Ruggles asked if other Dean had grievances on workloads. |
