dc.description.abstract The Provost brought a consistent writing style to the latest version of the Academic Master Plan. The calendar for 1985-1987 was circulated. Candidates for faculty positions were to be interviewed by the Provost. Detailed information on the chairman's supplement was distributed. OBOR approved the BSN-Generic program and copies of the admission criteria were distributed. The OBOR's Uniform Information System Reporting Dates was discussed. The policy statement on academic standing for athletic participation distributed early this summer received major support and was adopted. An equipment transfer policy for replacement equipment has been developed and distributed. Information on the United Way campaign would be distributed directly to the campus as a whole. The Provost requested restricted parking requests made in compliance with the new policy. The effort to organize and integrate equipment purchases under H.B. 798 was progressing. The Provost solicited recommendations for a commencement speaker for Winter 85. The Provost's effort regarding minority recruitment produced only one applicant with the stated criteria. McBriarty reviewed the 1983-1984 Retention Program and provided some results of a retention study that was made. A recent attempt by YSU, Akron and Kent to cooperate in the offering of PBS televisions courses failed. The recent solicitation by R. Loch to develop continued education non-credit programs brought little response. The Homecoming Committee needs a representative to assist in the screening of Homecoming candidates. Funds made available by the DeBartolo endowment may be used for curriculum development during 1985-1986.The Provost asked the Deans what steps were being taken to reduce the number of students in the Undetermined student category. en_US
