Abstract

Dr. Bowers was editing the North Central Association Re-accreditation Self-Study report. Dr. Gillis inquired if sufficient sections of Education 510, and English 520 and 540 were available for Winter. The Northeast Ohio provost were continuing to evaluate the consortium Biomedical Sciences Ph. D. proposal, and discussing an Engineering Ph.D., and M.S. degree in Health Services. Dr. Backer from KSU was to meet with advisors to discuss early registration for incoming freshmen. A new word processing compatible Limited Service Faculty Appointment form was distributed. Georgia State's degree audit program will be purchased to serve as the base for our system. The Computer Science degree program was invited to apply for accreditation. A lengthy discussion occurred regarding extending next year's Deans Scholarship deadline to December 10. Dr. Seibold was to be the Honors Convocation speaker. Faculty union representatives requested that notification of the disposition of all F to W petitions be sent to the faculty. Gills reviewed the agenda for the December 18 Board of Trustees meeting. Dr. Loch indicated that numerous programs which should been run through Continuing Education were administered by other components of the University. YSU representatives should attend an enrollment management conference to be held at Slippery Rock. The 1988-1989 catalog was distributed for review. The list of projected 1988-89 Education Outreach offerings was distributed for review. Dr. Scriven displayed samples of posters urging students to pick up their Dean's List Cards.
