Dr. Gillis indicated that more rapid progress of the Degree Audit program was desired and would meet with the Computer Center to determine a timetable. Program evaluations were due April 15 and were to cover the last year. Senate Bill 140 (Post-secondary Enrollment Options) was discussed with a motion to put the minimum ACT score at 25 was passed. Budget preparation was proceeding. Yiannaki suggested that former students retain their status as "Current" for eight quarters rather than the present four. Health & Physical Education asked the deans to reconsider and rescind their determination that service in the National Guard or Reserves be accepted as a substitute for HPE courses, as regular service already is. Provost Gillis distributed the draft of a policy on replacement of PC's. With minor modifications, the faculty leave form appeared acceptable to the faculty union. Several faculty grievances were pending. Faculty improvement leaves, sabbaticals, and research professorships were awarded for 1990-1991. YSU was to withdraw from the tentative agreement with Hocking Tech. Events for Engineers Week were announced. A memo was distributed proposing that no copies of records of former students be made after Spring 1990, if said records were available online. Enrollment Management, Institutional Development and Student Services were attempting to identify academic programs that needed a marketing push. |
