The cost/benefit ration of a cross-enrollment arrangement for ROTC proved unfavorable but events in the Persian Gulf made it untimely to bring YSU's involvement to a complete halt. A recommendation that we enter into a cross-enrollment contract with the University of Akron was to be taken to the Board of Trustees. Progress was made on organizing the input that was provided on the Strategic Plan. Budget targets were moving downwards. Exploration was afoot on the possibility of obtaining a public-access channel that would be controlled by YSU and accessible to all cable customers in the Channels 45/49 area. Applicants for the CAST dean search began arriving on campus. Ohio Supercomputer Center Grant applications were distributed. An update on articulation and transfer was distributed. A subset of programs from Education, Art & Sciences, and CAST would provide the data for test runs of the Degree audit software. Readjustment of the late and final registration dates for Winter, 1992, were needed to accommodate the timing of the release of federal funds. Data on EARLY was to be analyzed after Spring Quarter. A sheet on the Post-secondary Education Demonstration Laboratory was distributed. Requests for off-campus course offerings were sent by Education Outreach to the academic departments. |
