dc.description.abstract The Master of Social Work program received notice of full accreditation. The Higher Learning Commission site team recommended approval of the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and of expanded asynchronous distance learning. On-campus interviews will likely take place March 31- April 4 for the Provost position. On-campus interviews for the new Dean of Fine and Performing Arts were tentatively set for the week of March 17. Dr. John Yemma announced his retirement effective June 30, 2008. Dr. Annette Burden , the new Interim Director of Distance Learning, and Dr. Sal Sanders presented an overview of the Distance Learning Strategic Plan constructed by the distance learning planning committee. The draft policy for the Banner Override was discussed. Dean Abraham provided an overview of the five FY 09 appropriations requests sent to Tim Ryan. The Deans presented oral synopses of faculty-development activities in their colleges. YSU was over budget on part-time expenditures. Operational funds were to be transferred soon. Chair evaluations were to be discussed at the next meeting. Data was handed out showing the FTE increased between 1998 and 2007. The University was looking into a university-wide messaging systems for alerts and cancellations. en_US
