dc.description.abstract The Dana School of Music hosted guest artist Slide Hampton as part of the Leonardi Legacy celebration. Dr. Khawaja asked about faculty-development activities within the colleges. Although the Division can offer some Division-wide activities - such as the upcoming sessions on teaching, learning, and assessment- he noted that college-specific faculty development was important. Full-time to Part-time faculty rations were discussed with data being collected on YSU's use of full/part-time faculty to teach remedial courses. Summer schedules were discussed. Cheryl Bosley discussed the draft of the policy entitled, "Academic Advisor Authority to Override a Course Restriction." Instructors had to notify students that cancellations will be announced via the official YSU email address. Eight department chairs were to be evaluated during the current year, using the IDEA evaluation process. Workload data for summer will be sent as soon as possible. Budget re-allocations and term renewals were due the following day. Lab and materials fund was controlled at the "account" level. Peter Kasvinsky sent the deans an email on the undergraduate research allocations. An update on OEA contract negotiations was given. The committee for the provost search called references for seven candidates. en_US
