dc.description.abstract Ms. Verdone stated she received good feedback from chairpersons regarding the new transfer equate policy. Associate Provost Ball reported for Amy Flick on the streamlining committee whose goal was to create a continuous improvement process incorporating program review and academic planning. The committee felt it best to completely change the program review model. Dean Sanders stated the Graduate Assistantship Committee chose to keep the proportions the same as in previous years and reminded Council that scholarships and assistantships are separate. Dr. Ball noted that all revisions to date were incorporated into the YSU Faculty Credentials Guidelines document. Provost Abraham shared in detail his views on what "exceptional" is, and how it is not merely work beyond the minimum when it comes to the evaluation of administrators, faculty and staff. Associate Provost Pintar stated the Student Evaluation of Teaching will take place November 27 through December 9. The Sabbatical/FIL committee would be reviewing applications and conducting interviews. The issue of workload was discussed. The status of term faculty was being reviewed. Associate Provost Pintar stated the HEI classifications were published that morning. Faculty received their first bonus on October 31. Dean Blair asked about the recruitment allocation for searches. Submissions for the Honors College academic journal were due April 1 and the dedication of Fok Hall will take place April 4. It is hope to have an Executive Director for Maag Library in place by July 1, 2018. A research project for students working during the three-week break was being formulated. The Research Professorship Review Process was underway with recipients being announced January 15. Associate Provost Ball indicated he was gathering the most recent comprehensive report listing all accredited programs from all accrediting agencies. Concerns were communicated to the president regarding frustration with the YSU website. The Centofanti trust donated an additional $500,000 to YSU for its symposium fund. en_US
