dc.description.abstract Jackie LeViseur reported on the results of a survey sent to faculty and staff regarding the faculty and staff awards banquet. Mike Hrishenko and Dennis Gajdos reported on the overview of the decentralization of the campus technology service team. The Jump Start program would continue in Summer 2019. Associate Provost Myers stated the International Programs Offices wishes to sponsor a higher education research and awards reception in April 2020 to showcase research and poster presentations. Interim Provost Mosca stated that all student complaints emailed to the President went directory to him, and he had received quite a few. Dr. Mosca did not want to meet with students until after the student met with the faculty member, chair and dean. Dr. Ken Reardon was to be a Thought Series Speaker on Monday March 25. April 1 is the last day for academic program modification proposals to be submitted to the Academic Program Committee. The Harlem Quartet will be performing at the Ford Family Recital Hall at the DeYor Performing Arts Centre on January 17. New PCs have replaced the old ones on the first floor of Maag Library. The Curriculum Resource Center in Beeghly Hall received new carpeting and shelving. Dean Blair asked about any changes in the orientation schedule. Dr. Berardini stated she was still trying to figure out how to maximize the quality of student experience with their advisors at orientation and not over-burden the advisors. Dr. Cossentino expressed an interest in holding morning sessions for students to meet with representatives of the Honors College instead of at the end of the day. An Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning was to be vetted through Senior Leadership. The deans were asked to review the position description and give input. There were 65 new international students for Spring 2019 semester. The renewals for Graduate Assistants and Teaching Assistants would come to the deans by the end of the week. The Three Minute Thesis was to take place January 31. Acting Dean King announced the Department of Physical Therapy was hosting two doctors from China January 18. Ms. Ward stated the deadline for lab and materials fee changes was listed on the agenda. en_US
