dc.description.abstract A free screening to detect depression symptoms will be held at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown on Oct. 10 from 10 a. m. to 2 p.m. While some parking lots shut down across Youngstown State University's campus due to construction on the Carfaro Family Field intramural complex, several students have reported vehicle break-ins due to the lack of parking resources. Various faculty members worked together to create an Early Alert Reporting System (EARS) in hopes of assisting students with their academic success. The YSU Amateur Radio Club connects people worldwide. Catharsis Productions took a unique approach to discussing sexual assault prevention with the student body at YSU at Oct. 2 and 3 in Kilcawley's Chestnut Room. The McFadden Family legacy in YSU athletics is featured. The fourth annual Eye Ball of the Mahoning Valley featured Blessing Offor from "The Voice" performing. Westside Bowl is featured for its shows, food, inexpensive beer and bowling. YSU hosts the third annual Fall Literary Festival on October 4 and 5. Women's bowling looks to strike hard this year. The YSU swim and dive team has a whole new look this season under first-year head coach Brad Smith and with the addition of a men's swim team. YSU Penguin football team will face their toughest opponent yet when it hosts third-ranked South Dakota State University. One of the newest and more obscure sports hitting the field this semester is Spikeball. en_US
