dc.description.abstract | YSU men’s athletics was denied placement in NCAA Division I-AA. Plans for Homecoming weekend were announced. Charges of abuse by six student organizations led to their phone privileges being revoked. The opening of “Save Our Valley” accounts at Dollar Bank was set to begin. The Pittsburgh Pirates (baseball) drafted YSU’s Dave Dravecky, while the New Orleans Jazz (basketball) obtained Jeff Covington.
