dc.description.abstract In spite of cuts in federal aid to students and the rising cost of financing an education, students at YSU can still find help financing their academic careers. Financial aid is awarded in four basic forms: scholarships, grants, loans and part-time employment. Carol E. Franken, coordinator of the office of Geriatric Medicine/Gerontology at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown, and an instructor of gerontology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work at YSU, has been selected as a gerontological counseling trainee for the Midwest Region of the American Association for Counseling and Development. Area high schools have been invited to send teams of students to participate in the seventh annual "Physics Olympics" to be held April 13 at YSU. en_US
