dc.description.abstract YSU will host the third annual Dana New Music Festival April 22-24 in cooperation with the American New Music Consortium, an organization of colleges across the country interested in advancing the performance of new music. This year's guest lecturer and performer, here as a Wean Scholar-in-Residence, will be Karel Husa, Pulitzer Prize winner in music and internationally known composer and conductor who is Kappa Alpha Professor at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. YSU's Family Entertainment Series will refund ticket holders of last Saturday's performances of "The Story of Babar the Elephant," which were cancelled when the University closed due to severe weather conditions. The performances could not be rescheduled due to the fact that the artist, Dr. Kathleen Roach, had to return to Los Angeles to fulfill other engagements. en_US
