dc.description.abstract Twenty-one YSU faculty members have been granted research professorships for the 87-88 academic year. Each year, according to the YSU-Ohio Education Association agreement, some faculty members whose unsubsidized research is judged by a committee to warrent support are selected as research professors and are granted a one-third reduction in teaching load. Joseph G. Carson, vice president and senior economist for Chemical Bank of New York, will speak at YSU May 27 in DeBartolo Hall. Carson, who holds two degrees from YSU, will speak on "The Impact of International Trade and National Debt on the U.S. Economy." en_US
