dc.description.abstract Warren Young, founder of the Ward Beecher Planetarium and retired physics and astronomy professor, died Wednesday, Feb. 16. YSU has vaccinated over 6,000 students, faculty and families since March 2021. YSU's COVID-19 protocols are reduced amid the decline in cases. Student Government Association will host focus groups offering student the chance to voice the critiques and suggestions on how to improve academic advising at YSU. YSU's dental hygiene program is ranked at no. 16 nationally. Jambar speaks with students who run their own businesses. TEDx returns to Youngstown after a 2-year hiatus. YSU's Bouldering Competition is back. Female-focused campus media is reaching new heights with the installment of YSU's first chapter of Her Campus Media. Viral TikTokker, Thomas Malacky, doubles as a YSU student. Students are encouraged to try Kravitz at the Garden Cafe in Fellow Riverside Gardens. The YSU softball team played games six through nine of its 18-game road trip to start off the season. The YSU swimming and diving teams posted record numbers during the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships. The men's basketball team finished its last two home games of the season this past weekend. YSU baseball improves 2-1 on the season after defeating the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats.
