dc.description.abstract Laura Lyden, sales and operations manager at Lyden Oil, has been named as the university's newest trustee.Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted visited YSU's Excellence Training Center on Monday, April 18, to discuss the 5G Readiness Program with students from the college and local technical schools who participated in the course. A YSU student was assaulted March 25 after the assailant failed to stop at a stop sign. YSU is number 1 in the state for recycling and number 12th nationally. YSU's Guins Against Cancer is hosting its annual Relay for Life event honoring those who have or had cancer on Sunday, April 24. To celebrate Earth Day, Mill Creek MetroParks will hold its annual cleanup from 9 to noon on Saturday April 23rd. Shelters in the Youngstown, Boardman, and surrounding areas are in preparation for "kitten season." Printing procedures on campus are explained. Fall semester will illustrate mental health awareness with the Fall 2022 Mental Health Awareness Art Contest. Carla Mattiussi, career development coordinator at YSU, said students should scrub their social media accounts of inappropriate content. The Honors college presents tips for stress management and well-being. Mental health experts say a healthy balance of necessary work and leisure activities can improve mental health. The YSU tennis teams had a winning weekend as the men and women both secured multiple victories over conference opponents. The YSU bowling teams season ended April 9 when the penguins fell 2-1 to Arkansas State University in an elimination match at the NCAA Lansing Regional. The YSU lacrosse team hit the road and won its latest two games against the University of Detroit Mercy and Central Michigan University. After losing its first five games at Eastwood Field this season, the YSU baseball team claimed its first home win of 2022. Fifth-year outfielder Yazmine Romero etched her name into the YSU record books as the new all-time hits leader during the Penguins' doubleheader April 15. en_US
