dc.description.abstract YSU's newest marketing campaign, "Know Y," officially replaced the "Y and Proud" slogan many students, faculty, staff, and alumni were familiar with. Paige Shy of the YSU women's basketball team entered into a deal with Meta Platforms, Inc as a part of the NIL Empower 3.0 program. Renovations will be underway to move the Resch Academic Success Center and Accessibility Services from Kilcawley Center to the William F. Maag, Jr. Library. The International Programs Office at YSU has recruited a record number of international students this fall, roughly 1,000. The resources for students at the Wilcox Curriculum resource Center are highlighted. Fall exhibits arrive at the McDonough Museum of Art. John Petruzzi, an art professor at YSU, has kept records of sightings of both native and non-native birds through photography and painting for Mill Creek MetroParks. Nominations for Homecoming are due Sept. 15 with activities kicking off October. 19. The YSU men's soccer club earned their first victory of the season against Kent State University. YSU men's golf swung back into action at the Red Bandana Invitational hosted by Boston College. Booklynn Kirkpatrick, senior goalkeeper for the YSU women's soccer team, broke the school's all-time win records with 15 total career wins. The YSU volleyball team hit the road to attend the Toledo Invitational. The YSU football team won its home opener against Valparaiso University but lost to Ohio State in Columbus giving them a record of 1-1. en_US
