dc.description.abstract A replacement for the Penguin Portal called "Ellucian Experience" is featured. Jocelyne Linsalata, a member of the YSU board of trustees, donated $325,000 to the YSU Foundation for the creation of the Zoldan Family Student Center. Three incidences of motor vehicle theft have been reported at YSU since January. John Barnes, head coach of the YSU women's basketball team, announced he will take a leave of absence to focus on family matters. The Student Government Association held its first Campus Cleanup of the year. YSU students looking for professional attire can purchase some for a discount at the biannual JCPenney Suit Up Event at the Eastwood Mall in Niles. The Association for Women in Mathematics is an organization that aims to create a sense of community among female math students at the University. This fall semester introduces students to new community-engaged learning courses. Senior Hunter Christopher broke the five-mile school record for the YSU men's cross country team. After a two-game losing stretch, the YSU women's soccer team returned to the win column on the road against Purdue University Fort Wayne. The YSU women's volleyball team hits a road bump losing four consecutive games. The YSU football team hit the road to the UNI-Dome and lost 44-41 against University of Norther Iowa.
