dc.description.abstract The former Taoisearch of Ireland, Bertie Ahern, is visiting YSU from Oct. 12 to 14 and will receive the Sean MacBride Humanitarian Award at a dinner on Oct. 14 from the Ancient Order of Hibernians. YSU released its fall 2023 Preliminary Enrollment Summaries, showing a 4.8% decrease in full-time undergraduate students and a 16.2% increase in full-time graduate students since fall 2022. YSU student Marrwa Kermagi organized a relief drive for Derna, a city in Eastern Libya that recently faced devastating floods Sept. 11. YSU hosted its fall STEM Expo on September 28.YSU's Cliffe College of Creative Arts will host its first College-wide Open House for prospective students and their families on Oct. 18 at Bliss Hall. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced its partnership with The Bandana Project. YSU's Guinathon sponsored its Miracle Week Oct. 2 to Oct. 6 and donations were collected through different events held around campus. YSU men's golf team nabs top-five at the Bucknell invitational. YSU's men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Bill Lennox Slippery Rock Invitational on Oct. 7. YSU women's volleyball team broke its four-game losing streak defeating Purdue University Fort Wayne over the weekend. YSU's women's soccer team hits pivotal stretch in the Horizon League. YSU football team defeated No. 5 ranked Southern Illinois University on Oct. 7, 31-3. en_US
