dc.description.abstract Student employees and organizations were invited to a forum Sept. 5 to discuss the details of the new student center. National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15-Oct. 15. The aftermath of the Reality Tower explosion still affects both the community and local businesses. YSU Eats (previously YSU Dining by Chartwells) is featured. The Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) is featured. Ryan Lamb, a sophomore music performance major with a focus in tuba, competed in the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival, earning a gold medal for YSU. The Music at Noon series promotes Cliffe College of Creative Arts and Dana, allowing opportunities for students to perform and for the community to be exposed to the arts. The YSU women's golf team won its season-opening golf outing at the Mill Creek Golf Course. The YSU women's volleyball team sits with a 2-4 record as it continues a long road trip. After a run-in with two Mid-American Conference opponents, the YSU women's soccer team went on the road for three of its next four contests. Football season is back for YSU, as it opened its season in Villanova, Pa against Villanova University and opened its home season against Valparaiso University. en_US
