dc.description.abstract William Colby, former director of the CIA, gave a speech about the changing public perception of the agency. Congressman Lyle Williams talked to Student Council about the need to stabilize funding for education and how students can help revive the local economy. Physics professor Edward Mooney Jr is chosen to be on a committee of 15 international scientists who are organizing an experiment to measure the cross section of a neutron. WYSU-FM starts a fundraiser to compensate for decreased federal support. Leslie Myers summarized the events of the 1983 Greek Sing competition. Many students write letters in support of Student Council candidates. Dan Leone and Justin Gorence write critiques of the University Theatre's production "See How They Run." Mark Peyko summarizes the film "Polyester." The Butler Institute of American Art installs a climate control system to protect the art.
