World traveler, correspondent, and educator Robert St. John presented a talk on the Middle East. The Newman Club sponsored a panel on the role of college in the national interest at Ursuline High School. YU instructor demonstrated against the Vietnam War with 14 other marchers in front of the Youngstown Post Office. The faculty began to crack down on cheating and plagiarism. The YU Radio Show added six persons to its staff, while Student Council, discussed rules involving intramural sports. The University Theater’s production of “The Glass Menagerie” was praised and the Geography Department’s recent tour of eight European countries was deemed an overwhelming success. U.S. Army Capt. Max Bird, recently returned from Vietnam, spoke to the members of ROTC’s Scabbard and Blade society. The Dana School of Music was profiled, and men’s fashions were discussed. |
