dc.description.abstract | The Board of Trustees approves a 9% tuition increase. Construction is expected to begin on the University Village student housing. The Peace Pole was stolen but will be replaced. Jorge Gonzales receives the first Metzger scholarship to study abroad. James Ameduri was selected for the Governors Honors Program for College Students. Ten students attended the model Organization of American States General Assembly. Student George Bonamase died. Student Joe Bevilacqua is a DJ at WHOT FM 101. The drama department will host a summer institute for high school students.
