dc.description.abstract Two student government candidates will have a run-off election and the child care funding proposal is vetoed by student voters. The Campus Cooperative Ministry sponsors a talk on hunger in Africa from Dr. Mary Beaubien. Dr. Young finds opposition in the Academic Senate when he proposes adding time to a Physics course. Kent and YSU combine to offer a small business workshop. Dr. Frank Seibold, dean of Business Administration, will give the Convocation address. Margaret Horvath is appointed to the new Ohio Board of Dietetics. Professors Mincey, Schroeder, and Martin study the Mahoning River using computer programs. Letters about child care program, communication with the community, and the John Demjanjuk trial are printed. Senior Edie Hong has her artwork featured at the Women's Resource Center. The football team prepares for the Red-White game. Alumnus Dick Hartzell shows his Flex Band invention for strength training. en_US
