dc.description.abstract | Youngstown college is in preparation of May Day with the height of the festivities being the Queen Coronation-Dance in the evening. Selection of May Queen was made on May 8 with Peg Kirchner as the winner. The other nominees will be be the maids of honor. The newly organized concert band of the college will present its first concert next week. The Jambar was awarded the Scripss-Howard cup for the best bi-weekly campus newspaper in Ohio for the second year at the Ohio College Newspaper Association convention. Editorial comments on the student committee to aid the democracies in their fight against all the swastika represents. Student Council elections were held with Alden Gross becoming the new president of Student Council. Natalie Clark was crown as Junior Prom Queen May 03. | en_US |
