Mrs. Karl Dykema, Student Council Advisor, weighed in on the recent elections in which 4 out of 5 incumbents to the council lost their seats. Views concerning Christmas and Christianity were expounded by local clergymen. Dr. G.E. Dobbert (History) climbed onto the roof of the Main Building (now Jones Hall) and overturned loudspeakers playing Christmas music that were distracting his class. In the cafeteria annex and snack bar, students were polled on the kind of music wanted for the jukebox. A retail window display course was reestablished after a hiatus, meeting in the basement of the President’s House. 400 persons attended a jazz concert performed by the Phi Alpha Mu Sinfonia. YSU basketball player Ronnie Allen was profiled, and the YU swim club prepared for competition. |
